Janelle Marie McKinley, age 71, of Rich Hill passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2021 at Medical Lodges of Butler after a long and courageously fought cancer illness. Janelle was born June 26, 1949 in Lamar, Missouri to Luther and Una Beavers Lamb. She attended Nevada schools and graduated with honors. On June 5, 1967 she married the love of her life Larry McKinley. They were married 51 years until his death in 2018. Janelle was a mother, caregiver and guardian to sons Shawn and Clint then grandchildren Wade and Hanna.
Janelle worked side by side with Larry at their wood working factory and later the produce business. Her interests were going to garage sales, gardening, cooking, reading, and riding around in the truck with Larry sightseeing. She was an avid reader and read a book a night until her final days. She especially enjoyed traveling with Larry to watch him trap shoot. Janelle also loved her many Bassett dogs throughout the years.
She is survived by sons Shawn and Julie, Linn Valley, KS, Clint and Tina, Hermitage, MO, grandsons Evan, Riley, Wade, granddaughter Hanna, step-grandson Luke Walter, great grandchildren Levi and Paislee, brothers Luther Lamb, Lamar, MO, Daryl Lamb and Carolyn, Nevada, MO, sisters Sharon Cartwright, Springfield, MO, Beverly and Vernon Smith, Van Buren, AR, sister-in-law Pat Lamb, Glenwood, MO and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Larry and brother Lyle Lamb.
Visitation will on June 14th from 1 -3 pm at Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill MO.
