Madeline Woodfin

November 10, 1940 — October 4, 2021

Madeline Jean Woodfin passed away Monday, October 4th at her home in Butler, MO at the age of 80.  She was born November 10, 1940 in Bates County to Thomas Leonard and Margaret Irene Wilson.  Madeline married William K. Woodfin on May 11, 1964.

She leaves behind her husband Bill of the home; sons, Tom and wife Karen hood of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Dean Hood of Norman, Oklahoma; daughters, Mary and husband Doug Weaver of Weatherford, Texas; Melissa and Michael Massey of Butler, Missouri; grandchildren, Dustin and Adrienne Weaver, Monica Curtis, Brandon Hood, Katie Hood, and Madilyn Hood; great-grandchildren, Easton and Owen Curtis.

Madeline had many hobbies, but her greatest love was designing and making quilts.  She was a member of the Rockville Quilt Club  Her hand-stitching and creative designs won her multiple Grand Champion awards at the Bates County Fair, as well as 1st Place and Judges’ Choice.

She was also survived by sisters, Rebecca Humble, Kathi (Lynn) Plain, Barbara Condor; and sister-in-law, Freda Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Tom Wilson.

Madeline’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23 at the Rich Hill American Legion from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
